Style Guide: Arneis is an indigenous grape to Piedmont and is often referred to as a “little rascal” because it can be challenging to grow. Arneis tends to have flavors of citrus blossom, pear, tropical notes, almonds and herbs. Most Arneis is made in an unoaked style, however some producers are leaning towards a fuller-bodied oaky style. The best quality tends to come from the area of Roero.
